Who we are
Toski Labs is the app lab behind Koti and is responsible for the data described here. Contact: toskilabs@gmail.com.
What we collect
Only what your home needs to work:
- Account The name, color and email Apple or Google share when you sign in, or the email you use to get a sign-in link in the browser.
- Your home What you add: lists and items, chores, bills with amounts and boleto or Pix codes, events, splits and settlements.
- Pix key If you add one, people in your home see it when settling up. You can delete it anytime.
- Subscription Your home’s plan status, as reported by Apple. We never receive your card details.
- Diagnostics Crash reports and usage statistics without an advertising identifier (Firebase).
Who sees what
Everything in a home is visible to the people who live there: who checked, added, paid or did each thing shows with their name and color. Nobody outside the home sees anything.
If you leave a home, what you did stays there with your name, as the home’s history.
How we use it
To store and sync your home across your devices, send alerts and reminders, work out the balance, unlock your plan’s features, fix crashes and answer you when you ask for help.
We don’t sell your data, and Koti shows no ads.
Where your data lives
A copy is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so everyone in the home sees changes right away. The app also keeps it on your device to work offline. iPhone reminders are scheduled on the iPhone itself.
- Location If you turn on “Ask when I arrive” in grocery mode, the iPhone checks your location on the device itself. It is never sent to us.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make Koti work:
- Google (Firebase) Sign-in, database, alerts (including Web Push in the browser), crash reports and statistics.
- Apple Sign in with Apple, purchases and subscriptions.
- Your calendar If you connect one (Plus), chores, bills and events go to the iPhone Calendar or Google Calendar you chose.
How long we keep it
We keep data while the home exists. Deleted items are permanently removed within 30 days. When you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days; what you did in a home that still exists stays as history, with your name.
Your rights
Under Brazil’s LGPD (and similar laws where you live), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to know who it’s shared with.

This website
The Koti website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising tools.
- Koti in the browser If you use Koti in the browser, a sign-in token is kept in that browser, and your home is saved there so it opens offline.
- Hosting The site runs on Firebase Hosting (Google), which may log technical access data, such as your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top and let you know in the app when the change matters.
